Please check back for information around OOZ Enrolments for our Term 1, 2027 intake on 15th September, 2026.

The Enrolment Process:
At Te Raekura-Redcliffs children start school in small groups after they have turned 5 at two entry points –
– one at the start of each term
– one mid way through the term.
New entrants will be offered at least two dates for visits into class to ensure an effective transition to begin school.
Each term local preschools also arrange group visits into school.
‘Cohort Entry’ For New entrants Explained:
Helping students to have a great start at school is important for their early success. We believe cohort entry for our new entrants allows us and our feeder preschools to plan more effectively for a successful transition to school.
Cohort entry is about helping children to settle better in school. Starting school alongside other children helps children build relationships and supports a smoother entry to school life.
We believe it offers our children the best start to their school life.
What does this look like?
– Children start school in small groups after they have turned five
– There are two entry points each term, one on the first day of term and one at a mid-point during a term.
– New students will have the support of a peer group as they transition to school.
– Teachers can prepare for groups of children arriving on a specific date rather than on an individual and fragmented basis through the year.
