Our facilities are second to none. We have a large central play areas, beautiful gardens, orchard  and playing courts, an artificial turf and beautiful grounds in which to play.

Te Raekura Redcliffs staff and students are extremely welcoming. We are proud of the extra personal care and support that we provide for our international learners and their families. We have a proud tradition of academic success and achievement and we are noted for the quality of our teaching, particularly in our reading and writing programmes. Our athletic pursuits are also very strong and students who attend Te Raekura Redcliffs are supported to engage in a wide range of sporting and athletic opportunities across the year. We also run interest-based groups that vary depending on the interests of students during their time with us.

Our school is situated on the coastal edge of the vibrant, garden city of Christchurch. We are literally a step from the beach and connected to all parts of the city via easy to navigate roading and public transport network. We are only 15 minutes to a number of golf courses, 30 minutes from the international airport and 1.5 hours from Canterbury’s ski fields.

Te Raekura Redcliffs School is the perfect place to learn, develop new interests and engage in New Zealand | Aotearoa culture.

Ngā mihi,

Principal

Te Raekura Redcliffs can offer a variety of options for international students and their families.

Our school was purpose built in 2020 and provides a stunning environmental backdrop in which to learn, grow and flourish.  Our school is designed around the large central decked area that brings our school and community together. Our school was designed to maximise learning opportunities for children through teaching in flexible spaces. Our classrooms evsure space for children to learn in large or small groups or independently depending on the activity and child’s learning style.

Our international immersion programme is based around a theme of study and New Zelaand experience which includes both specific English instruction and regular interaction with New Zealand school students. This will provide the challenge of using English in real situations. Our school year is filled with regular experiences that take our students out of the classroom and connect our students to their community, the city of Christchurch, and the wonder Canterbury region.

Our International prospectus can be downloaded here.

Studying in New Zealand enables your child the opportunity to gain a world-class education, whilst forming new friendships and learning new ways of thinking. The New Zealand education system enables students with a broad range of experiences and skills that they need to succeed anywhere in the world.

Students gain the ability to work well with people from different cultures and backgrounds, and learn English by living it – not just by learning it from a textbook or classroom.
